Share Your Story: How Does the Anti-Transgender Sports Law Impact You?

South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster has signed into law H.4608, which will restrict transgender students at all grade levels from participating in school sports.

All session long, thousands of South Carolinians – including parents, medical providers, students, faith leaders, and transgender people ourselves – have expressed loudly and clearly that this bill will harm young people in our state. Now, let’s continue telling the story of how this law will impact youth and the LGBTQ+ and allied community across South Carolina.

Whether you’re a transgender student who may want to play sports some day, a teacher or parent devastated by the message this sends to young people, or an advocate eager to send encouraging thoughts to youth, share with us using this form.
