Join Our Virtual Protest – Share A Message of Love & Support For Trans South Carolinians

2024 has been an exceptionally challenging year for transgender youth in South Carolina – extreme lawmakers recently passed H. 4624, a ban on medically necessary healthcare for trans youth that also restricts care for some adults.

It has been a heart-wrenching time, and we’re especially sickened that Gov. McMaster is hosting a celebration to mark the bill being signed into law. The event will take place on Tuesday, May 28th, so we’re organizing a virtual protest of this egregious moment and we need your help.

We know that the love and support that exists for trans kids in South Carolina is stronger than this cruel law. The SC United for Justice & Equality is collecting messages of love and support for transgender kids, adults, and their families in South Carolina, both to be shared directly with trans folks, and to build a word cloud of support for the trans community. Use the form below to send a message, and we’ll share them with trans youth who need support – and use your words to build a powerful display of solidarity that shows lawmakers that trans folks are supported in every corner of our state.
