South Carolinians Bring the Push Against Discriminatory Bills to the State House

Every other Wednesday at 2pm, LGBTQ+ and allied South Carolinians are meeting at the State House – ready to meet with lawmakers, share our stories, and put a face to the majority of people across our state who believe our lawmakers should be protecting, not discriminating against, LGBTQ+ people and their families.

We know that talking to lawmakers can be intimidating, and many people may not have done it before – which is why we have seasoned organizers from our coalition on hand to offer training, support, and guidance every step of the way.

Wondering what to expect when you arrive at the Statehouse? Just watch this - before you make your plans to join us this coming Wednesday:

When you join our days of action at the Statehouse, you’ll never be alone. You’ll be working alongside an inspiring team of South Carolinians who are raising their voices for LGBTQ+ equality – people like Susan, the director of PFLAG South Carolina, who is spending time at the Statehouse this year advocating on behalf of her transgender son.

Meet Susan and other advocates who are leading the charge against anti-LGBTQ+ bills in South Carolina here:

We hope to see you at the Statehouse, as we raise our voices together for a more open and inclusive South Carolina!
