Organizers successfully held off many extreme bills from advancing by last week’s crossover deadline; now, all attention turns to H.4776 and H.4608.

H.4776 would grant healthcare providers a broad ‘license to discriminate,’ which could have devastating impacts on LGBTQ people, women, people of color, and people of diverse faith backgrounds.

This bill is the House version of the original S.811, the widely reviled Healthcare Discrimination Bill, which would grant any healthcare worker – including administrative staff – a broad “license to discriminate” against any group, based on the worker’s personal beliefs.

Columbia ordinance protects young people from dangerous anti-LGBTQ ‘conversion therapy,’ which can increase depression, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation. 20 states and 100+ cities have similar protections in place.
