Today marks the official start of the 2023 South Carolina legislative session, and advocates for LGBTQ+ people in the state are ready to defend the community at the statehouse. More than a dozen bills have been introduced to attack LGBTQ+ people. They include:

Come on Thursday, January 19 to kick off the legislative session and support LGBTQ+ equality.
Take Action: Tell the Senate to Pass the Respect for Marriage Act
Today the U.S. Senate is set to take a critical vote on the Respect for Marriage Act, a bill that would protect the freedom to marry for same-sex couples and interracial couples at the federal level.
Action Steps to Reject Total Abortion Ban in South Carolina
We ask everyone to call your senator immediately and tell them to vote NO on H. 5399. Phone calls and in-person meetings are the MOST effective thing you can do to move legislators.
